Drone Hire Adelaide Thermal Imaging Drone Services Australia
The Problem
In recent months, Adelaide has been hit with massive storms, including one large storm that hit many parts of southern Australia but mainly in the North. Our client Zen Energy contacted DHA to discuss the possible destruction of a large solar plant near the Edinburgh airport. Access costs to the site were also expensive, and the location was near an active RAAF runway. The client was very concerned about the underlying damage to the solar array.
DHA Approch

DHA project manager approached the site for a free site inspection and quickly ensured the cost was kept to the client’s budget. It was an easy decision for the client to execute DHA to conduct the results. DHA liaised with Edinburgh and created a permit for flight near their active runway. DHA sent a full JSA to Edinburgh before the flight and ensured we had two people on-site, including a pilot and spotter with an aeronautical radio license; we could mitigate the risks and fly the inspection inside a 3-hour window a complete analysis of the array. We ensured we continually checked the irradiance metres and humidity to ensure the assessment was carried out in a perfect environment.A DJI Matrice 300 RTK was used onsite with the H20T Camera.
The Solution
On completion of the inspection, DHA found no significant underlying issues but found an element of broken glass and thermal defects in the array. As a result, some of the panels were swapped out after completing the report after the company had a clear understanding of the issues and planned the work following site movements. DHA now inspects several solar arrays to ensure the clients are getting all they can out of the systems.
